With just a few steps you can be submerged in the lively atmosphere of Little Italy, Koreatown, or the laid-back vibes of Kensington Market. Old Town is the birthplace of Toronto and home to one of the finest food markets in the world. Whilst in the arty Distillery Historic District you’ll find a charming enclave of cafes and galleries, all housed within Victorian-era architecture. If you’ve a head for heights a visit to the top of the CN Tower is a must, not least for the panoramic views. For a change of pace take the 15-minute ferry ride to the Toronto Islands, which lie in the harbour.
The nation’s capital city of Ottawa is a pleasing blend of old and new and steeped in tradition. Visit Parliament Hill, the National Gallery of Canada and enjoy a feast of culinary experiences and festivals. Ontario’s only UNESCO site, the Rideau Canal, wends its way through Ottawa’s downtown, and during the winter months transforms into a magical, winter wonderland skating rink, as the water freezes over.
To truly experience Ontario’s charms though you need to get out and explore the pristine wilderness. Discover Algonquin, Canada’s oldest provincial park and a great Canadian wilderness that is spectacular in any season or the Bruce Peninsula and the calm waters of Lake Huron. Whilst, in the dark, cool waters of Georgian Bay, you’ll find Fathom Five, Canada’s first National Marine Conservation Area.

Today there is time for a helicopter ride above the falls or travel along the Niagara Parkway and explore Niagara on the Lake

Day 2 - Explore Ottawa
Spend the day exploring Canada’s capital city. Explore the parliament buildings, universities and museums, the Canadian Mint and National Gallery of Canada.
Day 3 - Ride Canal Cruise
Today there is opportunity to take a Rideau Canal Cruise and float down North America’s oldest canal built in 1832.

Pathways of the Algonquin
Day 1 - Travel to Algonquin Provincial Park
Depart Toronto by road and travel the 3 hours north to Algonquin Provincial Park, visit the visitor centre for maps and event details and hiking trails.
Day 2 - Explore Algonquin Provincial Park
Spend the day exploring the park, hike a trail in search of wildlife, or just take in the scenery.
Day 3 - See the park from the water
Another day exploring hire a canoe or kayak and see the park from the water.

Day 6 - Journey to Manitoullin Island
Continue your journey to Manitoullin Island. This is the largest freshwater lake island in the world.

Manitoulin Island is hope to a first nations community and you can spend some time finding out about the culture at the museum or exploring many of the hiking trails.
Day 8 - Travel across Georgian Bay
Make your way to the ferry and travel across Georgian Bay to Tobermory.
Day 9 - View shipwrecks
Tobermory is located right at the end of the Bruce Peninsula and is the gateway to the Fathom Five National Marine Park where there are fifteen shipwrecks you can view from the glass bottomed boat.
Day 10 - Drive back to Toronto
Take the long drive back to Toronto and return the hire car
Day 11 - Departure
