Scandinavia is the name for a group of Countries in Northern Europe. These countries include, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland. Amongst this is the area known as Lapland situated inside the Arctic Circle and compromising an area of Northern Finland and Sweden.
These destinations offer a huge range of holidays. In the Winter they are vast Winter Wonderlands, covered in snow with winter activities a plenty. Choose to stay in Ice Hotels, Log Cabins, Glass Igloos or more traditional hotels. In the winter they are also home to the Northern Lights and with almost 24 hours of darkness in the winter there are plenty of opportunities to see them. Not forgetting opportunities in late November and December to go in search of Santa himself.
In the Summer there are endless walking trails, opportunities to raft or canoe down the rivers, explore Fjords, travel by train or boat. Go in search of the trolls in Norway or just escape from it all. With the midnight sun you have long days to explore.City breaks are also very popular with weekends in the capitals Oslo, Helsinki, Stockholm or Copenhagen.
